Seattle 

Seattle, home of the Space Needle- constructed for the 1962 World’s Fair- is situated on an isthmus between Puget Sound and Lake Washington. As a major gateway for trade with Asia, Seattle is the fourth largest port in North America for container shipping. Seattle’s growth after World War II was largely credited to the Boeing company, establishing Seattle as a center for aircraft manufacturing. In addition Microsoft  and Amazon both owe their inceptions to Seattlites. Seattle also has a very rich musical history and was the birthplace of many well known bands. Steeped in history, fine dining, entertainment and stunning architecture, Seattle has a wide array of offerings.

In a 2018 census, it was estimated that King County is the most populous county in Washington and the 12th most populous in the United States. About two-thirds of King County’s population lives in the Seattle suburbs. With the Cascade Mountain Range dominating the Eastern part of King County and Elliot Bay extending Southeastward between Westpoint in the North and Alki Point in the South, it is encompassed by sweeping views as far as the eye can see.
